Wet sanding and fine polishing
It is a true art and a time consuming process that minimizes orange peel, repair scratches and defects.
Also known as color sanding. We mask off edges and sand the paint with 1500 to 2500 grit sand paper this proces eleminates most surface scratches, water spots are repair any oxidation. We then machine polish with a cutting compound to remove the 1500 to 2500 grit sanding scratches. Next we machine polish with ultra fine polish. Finishing with a long lasting synthetic sealer and/or wax that is very smooth to the touch. Call for a free evaluation!

Some people say factory finishes do not have enough clear coat to sand and you will not have enough protection if you sand. If the lowest point of the clear coat is enough to protect the car then if you sand to that point and no further then you car will look its best and still be protected. The secret is to never sand any more than the lowest point of the clear coat. See illustration below:
A car should be wet sanded once and once only. After the "orange peel" is gone it will never come back. If the paint gets "spider web" scratches from incorrect car washing, or holograms from incorrect buffer use. It can be polished away without ever sanding. Plus the clear coat on most cars is not thick enough for more sanding.

Very common in new cars to see the paint riddled with these back and forth motions.
What it will look like after correction
Many expensive cars like Bentleys, Lamborghinis, etc. are hand sanded and polished at the factory. GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Toyota, etc. do not wet sand the final clear coat because it is too much work. Now your new car can have a mirror finish also. Please call for a price quote on wet sanding. Your average detailer does not have the expertise for wet sanding paint.
